PA Elk Hunting

I'm from stroudsburg so 3 and 1/2 hr drive, yes I hope to get a day when I
Can come out and see what I'm getting into. I was hoping to find someone to point me in the right direction.

check out the quehanna motel in karthaus. they serve meals there also and it would put you about in the middle of where you need to be.

I seen my first PA elk in 1977 over the hill(Mason Hill) from my aunt and unkle's farm at Sterling Run. It was a 5x5 and I got some good polaroids of it. Still have them in a album. Hooked on elk ever since but no luck so far killing one here(for a variety of reasons). Maybe this year. When I worked for the railroad in Clearfield and in Renovo I used to see them a lot as I travelled Spook Hill Road almost daily. Good luck getting your tag and have a great hunt.
