PA Deer... How's it going?

Here he is. It's a good thing I got him. He was emaciated and shot in the left rear leg just above the joint. Looks like somebody shot at him while he was running away. We lot the whole left hind leg, but the rest of the deer is good. He didn't have an ounce of fat on him. He probably was a bruiser at the beginning of season.

Tank

Just got back from a job in Arkansas this evening. I'm looking forward to getting out in the morning . I would love to tie a tag on one like that tank. You done good buddy.

Here is my 9 point I shot on 12.08.2011! Shot him with my 300 RUM! Crazy shot, but dead is dead!

I had the best hunting season ever and I didn't even get a deer! We hosted a Best of the West youth hunt and in the first three days, all 5 of the boys got their bucks! I planned the hunt a month or so ago and failed to read the regulations and thought the boys all had doe tags and that it would be easy to get them all a deer on camera. Well about a week before season I read all the rules and realized that doe season didn't start till the second week. Everything worked out fine and all the boys tagged out in the first three days (several of the pictures are on BOTW website). Today was the last day and I still haden't got my buck even though I've seen bucks every day, they just weren't big enough. This evening , at 4:45 the deer started to come out and I coached my son through a 1000 and a second deer at 925 , both 1 shot kills. I ended the season without a deer but helped everyone else! Watch for the boys on The Best of the West in the spring. (Hunt was in southern Washington Co. Pa.)

Sweet, thanks for the update. Sounds like a good time.

What's the spreads on these bad boys?

I want to say he has a 16" outside spread! I shot this deer in Jefferson County! I was going to mount him, however, I have bigger on the wall! I made a promise I wouldn't mount another unless it was bigger or just unique!

myself, my sister and my buddy got does yesterday. watched my buddy shoot a doe at roughly 330 yards across our valley. his first 'long range' deer. he hasn't killed many but this is the first over 100 yards.

we seen a nice buck at about 500 yards, but he disappeared before we got back on him.
