Body die for 240 bee

Is there a way to make one using a 06 based cartridge? I am getting clickers and the brass is expensive. Or is it possible to take a 240 bee die and cut it in half to get down to the belt?

If you want to size lower and just the belt, then yes, you can cut the shoulder section off and use it like a body die, but just remember you will probably need an altered shell holder, I turn .010" off the top and adjust the die as normal.
The belt here is the issue, a regular '06 die will not work.

I am getting clickers and need to resize closer to the belt. There is no collet die for this cartridge being that it is the only cartridge using this case. So just trying to figure out how to resize down to the belt. Thanks for the help. Going to at least try it

If you are going to make a ring die out of a 30/06 sizing die a small base 30/06 die might be better. JMO

Just remember you can't size the belt itself, it is part of the web of the case. Are you using a press that cams over? Do you hover at top of stroke for 5 seconds?
Normally, I would suggest running your brass through a larger belted magnum die that touches nothing but the body. I do this occasionally on my 270 Weatherby brass, as it gets clickers from a poor reamer choice, my fault on that one.

The problem is the 240 shares no other cartridges. Nothing would touch the case, i can't get close enough to the belt without crushing the shoulder. I am resizing .0015 as of right now, the brass is crazy expensive too.

I am aware of this, which is why I suggest cutting the shoulder section off on a FL Die.
Unless you can get a custom body die made, this is really your only option.

Sounds like the best option, I will probably buy a cheap die and cut it.

Who makes a small base die for a 240 Weatherby?

Previously you asked about using a 30-06 small base die, this will not work because of the belt on a 240 Weatherby, dimensions are different.

I didn't mean a small base die for a 240 Wea but a small base die for a 30/06. What type of a FL die are you refering to.

I get what you are saying now. Yes cutting a FL 240 Wea die would be best. Sorry for the brain cramp
