I have found myself personally finding it hard to decide if I am a dem or rep. To be honest, I lean much more toward the Rep side obviously but in the past 15 years, they have changed from what they used to be.
I see myself as more of a Regan Republican, not the current day form of the critter.
I liked Bush as a president. Did he make some mistakes, sure he did, did he do things that I did not agree with, YEP, did he do things that made me mad, YEP.
Was he better for us then Al Gore..... You bet!!!
Was he better for us then Kerry...... Again, YES!!!
That said, I got fighting mad everytime I heard that Bush caved in on another Liberal spending projects just to get them off his back.
I also simply can not understand why the southern boarder issues have not been solved!!!
For the first 6 years of his administration, and with the Republicans in charge of both sides of congress, we really lost a chance to make things much better all around. THis is what made me upset with Republicans, they let us down as they could have gotten alot more done and they did not. Sure there were many good things but alot of time was simply wasted.
Then for the last two years of his administration, the Dems had control of both wings of congress and then REALLY nothing got done. They simply bitched to each other without ever looking at the merit of a debate, just vote no if the idea was brought up by someone of the other party.
We all knew exactly what was going to happen when Dems got control of both wings of congress and now get a man in the whitehouse as well.
This is what you call government without any checks, or said another way, a kid in a candy store with no shopkeeper around......
I hate what the Dems are doing and will do to this country. They WILL ruin it for generations to come. I think I am even more upset that the Republicans have let this happen.
Currently, I do not feel I am a republican, yes they share some of my views, OR at least they say they do around election time. I am now saying I am an independant. To be honest, I wish we could take the two party system and throw it away because it has become something that is to big to do much of any good anymore.
I really do not care who is in office, I hope to hell they are successful because this is our country they are playing with. If they fail, we will pay the price, not them. But I do hope that some of his plans blow up in his face and the public realizes that we are headed down a road that will not be good for anyone.
Its a sad day when China repremands the US for heading toward to much of a socialist government, CHINA for christ sake is telling the US we are to socialist.
Cuba is wanting to be Obamas best friend. N. Korea thing we are ******* and throw an ICBM our direction just to thumb their noses at us.
Iran laughs at us every day and did so with Bush was in office as well.
Polictical correctness has neutered the US which is exactly what the current administration wants, as do those in power in congress. They are fofilling a plan that has been in the works for decades. Basically to deflate the US down to the same level as every other country in the world. Deflate our dollar, humiliate our people, beg for forgiveness to everyone in the world that has a poor opinion of us.
Have we screwed up, you bet but we have done 100 times more good in this world then any other country or continent on the planet and have done so for centuries.
But now, our leader sees fit to go around the world and apologize for his country being so bad to the rest of the world....... It is a sad day.
Again, this is about government out of control. Anyone wonder why businesses like MidwayUSA and many others will not export to Canada??? The current government knows full well that many businesses in the US make alot of money from foreign customers. Obviously their claims about wanting the ecomony to turn around is a load if crap because if that were the case, they would be taxing the imports and not the exports........ BUT NO, we can not offend the foreigners, we want to be more like them.
If we are still surviving in 2 years, I hope to hell we can change directions and at least get some checks on this government by taking their power out of the senate...... If we do not, everyone in the firearms industry better look for another job because there will be none to have in this industry.
Government has already taken over much of the banking industry, they are in the process of taking over the automobile industry and apparently they want to put alot of small business owners out of work as well.
Enough from me on this subject, just to get **** worked up and need to get off my lunch break and back to the shop anyway to get something constructive done.
I am starting to think this thread needs to come to an end as well, Just get out and let your voice be heard and lets turn this truck around before it goes over a cliff.

I voted republican but if mccain would have ran for the dem and obama the rep. I would have voted dem thats the way cristians are supposed to vote morally
