NRA In Serious Trouble?

First there is the New York AG launching an investigation into the NRA's non profit status.

Here is an interesting bit from the AP News article:
"Near the end of the two-hour meeting, some members challenged efforts to adjourn and pushed to question the board about controversies involving its financial management, the relationship with its longtime public relations firm and details of what North sought to raise about alleged misspending, sexual harassment and other mismanagement."

Sexual Harassment. It was only a matter of time that this tactic would be used to smear folks in the 2nd Amendment rights arena.

What I don't know is who is the bad guy, North or Lapierre.

What I do know is that the New York AG investigation is going to cost the NRA time and resources, resources that could be better served lobbying to defeat legislation like these ridiculous "Red Flag Laws". And be sure that our enemies in the media are going to use this to make the NRA and gun owners look weak, divided, and vulnerable in order to embolden the anti firearm crowd to push more anti constitutional legislation. This appears to be the initial movements of a shaping operation of sorts. What conditions and what follow on action is unknown to me. But it is coming.

I caught local people stealing monies in a nonprofit city baseball league...the judge didnt care....said if we wanted to continue get ahold of the attorney general.......not the state attorney either.......
It is a tough thing to prove because those books don't have to prove anything.......why do you think Clinton's get away with millions of fraud....

I've always disliked the NRA. Never bought into the rich guys gun club.

The NRA has always been for a profit. I don't know why this is news, they've never guaranteed anyone's rights, or that they had the obligation to take on any legal battles at all, they were never founded on that. There involvement in court have been good actions on bad infrastructure. There are plenty of other organizations that have been taking the legal fight on, both in federal and state courts.
