Ibex....are of the goat side of the family...
But....reading up on it....the goat and sheep took different directions during the miocene period....a really long time ago.....
Maybe the goat'tee' ticked off the sheep........and they became the first 'blacksheep' of the family.....

Nice one! I was born in Deming and lived much of my life in Las Cruces. A little in Silver City, Albuquerque, Artesia. Moved to TX 4 years ago. Those suckers are a tough hunt. They love to stay up high in impossible places.

Great shot, I had no idea that there were mountains in Florida.
The Florida Mountains are in Southwestern New Mexico. It isn't a large Mountain range but can be very difficult to navigate.
It was a 700 yard shot, 23 degree angle. 28 Nosler/Retumbo/ pushing a 180 VLD.
It's very goat tasting. I made a lot of it into breakfast sausage and brats and it was pretty good. They stink something awful but the taste wasn't bad
