Nosler M48

Tiger On The Hill - what throw lever are you using on the scope?
MK Machining. I'm happy w/ it after using it on 5 pd hunts. The Bushnell scope power adjustment ring was VERY stiff and didn't improve despite trying multiple things. I like to keep the scope at 10-12x to spot, crank up to shoot, then crank back down to spot. I could't do that w/ the stiff power ring. The product fit and works perfectly. Shipping was prompt. Price was reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one from them if needed. They also made custom Savage M93 22LR mags that are a BIG improvement over the factory mag. I've got a 15 rounder and am pleased w/ it.

Got the 6.5 CM on Gunbroker, the 308 came from Midway USA. I'm thinking of having the CM rebarreled to 243 Winchester. I'm sorta over the 6.5 craze. Back when I hunted with a rifle the 243W was all I used 95% of the time, it never failed me. Shots from 30 to 350 plus on deer and always got complete penetration with a good bullet.

You won't be disappointed if you get an M48. Finding one you want will be the issue. Midway USA has one in stock, a 6mm CM.

Add headers and a cam ....ream it to 6.5- 284 norma.

I hunt from either Tree Stands, or Tower Stands. Both of which have a generous shelf to shoot from. I still have a few Burris and Leupold Handgun Scopes on Contenders. After getting used to Rifle Scopes, it is hard (from a Tower or Tree Stand) to get far enough away from the handgun scope using Sand Bags or a Bipod with Rear Bag.
I have Weaver Classis Extreme Scopes on my Nosler M48's. The 6.5CM has a 2.5-10X. In the 2.5-5X power range it has about as much useable eye relief as a Scout Scope. From around 6-10X you do need to choke up on the scope more. The Harrell's Radial Brake really reduces recoil. I now shoot with one hand on the grip, and the support hand on my rear squeeze bag. Recoil is no problem at all. Noise and Muzzle Blast are a different story. Plugs and Muffs combined are not a bad plan practicing.

All my Contenders wear pistol scopes as well as my Ruger SRH 41Magnum

I had a Nosler 48 Independence in 6 creed and using a 4X-16X rifle scope firing Seirra 107 grain factory match ammo it shot a three shot 1 1/8th group at 400 yards. Aside from being on the heavy side, they can't be beat for the price. I do however wish Nosler would expand their caliber offerings and make a 16" barrel standard. I have a friend inside Nosler, and I think if enough specialty pistol shooters would call Nosler's sales team this might give them the incentive to expand their offerings.

Do you have the best number to call for that?

My contact responded to my request and said (unfortunately) that the best way was to call Customer Service at 800-285-3701 or try reaching out to their Sales & Marketing, Social Media Team on Facebook or Instagram. He said that upper management would have to be convinced that the market for single shot pistols would have to justify any expansion in the line. I told him that a 16" barrel and a magnum bolt face option would be a game changer in my opinion.
