Nosler Accubond

Would like some comments on the 30 caliber 180,190 ,or 200 Nosler Accubond on elk terminal performance. Out to 600-800?

I have used the 180 accubond on elk quite a bit. From 50 yards out to 800 yards. In all cases they worked well. Good penetration or pass through. They never failed and always put the elk down. Will admit that I have moved on to other bullets that I think work a little better. But dead is dead and I never lost an elk when using the accurbond. Good luck

We use 30 Cal. Accubonds a lot for Elk with no bullet failures yet. Great performance at many different velocities at impact. Farthest only 650, four holes two bullets. Compared to partitions we have recovered more Accubonds per bullet in animals.

I've been using the 180's for almost two decades out of my 300 RUM. I've taken a fair number of elk with them. Furthest was 867 yds. Shot a cow at 524 yds in 2022. Shot a bull moose twice at 200 yds. Found both bullets in the hide on the opposite shoulder about 2" from each other. Never had an issue.

I shot an elk with the 300 at 630 yards. He didn't move so I kept sending rounds, he took 3 of them through the lungs. Complete pass thrus.

The Accubond is the only bullet I've shot from close to far and seen good performance.

200gr accubonds from a 30 nosler elk 260yards shot twice in the shoulder both pass through

Bison same gun and round 80 yards one pass through, one didn't exit but also didn't recover

Moose 160gr 7mm accubonds 2 lung pass through 110yards

I pretty much only hunt with accubonds now

Not .30 cal. or elk, but I've taken 2 800# Kudu in Africa with my 6.5/.284 XP-100 handgun & 130 ABs at 201 & 365 yds. Both DRT. ABs are my #1 bullet for all my handguns in .338 Mag JDJ, .325 WSM, .375/.284 XP. Always excellent performance. Taken around 15 deer 500-565 with the ABs in my 6.5. Always 100% penetration & instant drops.

I shot a cow elk this year with a 190 ABLR out of my 300 WM, 2950 FPS. Bang flop at 418 yards. These are different than the traditional accubonds, but they work too.

I took a mature Moose with a 6.5CM accubond. They just work.

Used to shoot 200 grain Accubonds in a 300 Jarrett, 3028 fps. Furthest shot was ~300 yards. At those ranges I always had complete penetration.

Killed my New Mexico bull at 385 yards with my Alamo Precision Maverick in 300 Weatherby using 200 Accubonds.
