Accubond LR bullets

What's the experiences with the accubond LR bullets on elk? I'm shooting a 7mag. Can't find the 160 accubonds I want to use.
It sounds like you may have had good experience with the 160 Nosler AB as I have, I have not been able to locate them for a couple of years but have taken deer at 35yards out of my 280 AI at a couple hundred yards, never a second shot required. I also am going to try the 168 ABLR in my 280 AI. I also have used the Nosler 225 AB out of my 340 WTBY Custom 700 Remington with great results also but have been unable to locate them also.

Here is a video of them testing the 175gr Accubond LR.
My personal experience I run them in three of my 7mm Remington MAG rifles. I've killed everything up to 800 yards and I've never had an animal stand up that's from a bear elk deer antelope. And they all seem to fly and shoot true. I'm a big fan of the Hornady ElDX but I would take this accubond lr any day with the consistency and how they hold together. I've had complete pass-throughs without opening up with the berger vld. The hornadys from my experience tend to come apart a lot more but the internal lead core always holds together of course. Anyhow that's just my thought closely range long range I've never had an issue and my experience so far with this bullet.

I use 129 ABLRs in my 6.5 Grendel (going about 2300 fps at the muzzle) for whitetail and 168 gr ABLRs (at 2850 fps) in my 284 Win for elk. I've taken 6 deer with the former (10 - 190 yds) and two elk with the latter (110 - 170 yds). Didn't recover any bullets as they all passed through, but didn't have any animal go far, most DRT. I'm a big fan, but haven't hunted with other bullets.

Ive killed several elk with 6.5 129 LRAB. Good bullets and work fine for elk, Front half of bullet usually fragments core stays together usually on offside hide. They shoot good in both rifles i tried them in, they are a little finicky to get to shoot. I wouldn't hesitate to use them

They're definitely thinner jacketed bullets, the only problem I've had with them is if you try to seat with high neck tension (perhaps only with the wrong seating stem) they'll visibly deform. And I can't pull any with my collet puller without trashing the bullet.

I agree I've killed several animals with them with perfect results, these 168's are giving me fits though..shame to, I think they would be excellent in 308 or 06

Give a good bit of jump. They like 28-2900 fps so should work well in the 06. 308 should be money at 2650-2700. It's a seating depth trick for sure. I never could get them to shoot in one rifle. Good luck.

I have only used 150 GRN ABLR's in my 270 Weatherby Mag at paper targets at 300 yards and Steel targets, out to 1100 Yards. I really like them. Hope to try them on game some time!!!
