New Rifle Project

Did some final fit up and light assembly. Now I sent the stock off to get checkered. It will be several weeks before the shooting starts! 😃

That image deserves a re-post! What an absolute beauty. My friend is a custom cabinet maker/trim carpenter and i've seen some of his work and it's right in line with this.... wood art perfection. There's just something extra about wood and all the attention, blood, sweat, and tears that go into polishing the coal away from the diamond.

Well done!

At long last, assembly is complete and I am looking forward to trying her out! If I can't shoot straight, at least I'll look good doing it 😃. Thanks to Tim Smith-Lyon at Classic Checkering for a beautiful job in checkering the stock.

Very beautifull, now you have to shoot it or maybe hunt with it without scratching it. I did a couple of stocks in the last 2 years and my inletting still lacks but its fun to bring out the beauty in the wood

Man that's a beautiful rifle . I literally have 6 walnut logs on the trailer now to saw with my mill . Been thinking about sawing out some stock blanks . I don't know what to look for on them though . But the other ones I've already cut made beautiful lumber.
