Will it hunt ? Lol I would have a really hard time taking it to the woods.

Every gun I I own kills or it goes down the road. Might not take this one into Montana and hike the Rockies with it but I do know a corn field or five in Kansas where i can stretch its legs. Throw it over my shoulder with a sling on it next to my pack it'll be fine. Just let me find a load, figure 120 grain Barnes TTSX doing 3250 would be just fine for a whitetail.

Went to the range today with my precision oriented heavy Chassis T3. Good lord I love a rifle that shoots... Would be cool to have a companion in a pretty wood stock.

Sounds like you answered your own question, buy another tikka and order a nice wood stock for it...

I'm a Tikka fan. I've got a few with McMillan stocks and I'm really impressed with them.
