Need some advice on picking a scale.

yes you are because if you read ALL the words and not just a select few it says
LONG RANGE HUNTING AND SHOOTING
AND YES YOU ARE RIGHT
you should feel stupid
---- I feel stupid. The name of this site is Long Range HUNTING. Man am I a moron. It's apparently a site about Long Range MATCHES. Someone needs to tell Len. News Flash buddy; you don't need a 1/3 MOA rifle/load combo to shoot Big Game at Long Distance. The videos I'm talking about are on YouTube. Go and watch yourself and stick your Data wherever you want. Maybe I'm not the one that should feel stupid after all

the X ring on a 1000 br target is about 3" and goes down to 1.x at 600yds. your 800 yd heart must be pretty small.
it gets down to definitions of accuracy and DISTANCE.
TOO many people think 400 yds is long distance while i compete ate 600, 1000 and 2000 yds
you can see where there can be confusion

Sometimes people think someone is talking to them and never realize that they were never even part of the conversation. They simple felt like getting involved and then they got but hurt. This is how people act on24hr, ARF.com and at the hide. I guess it is now here. The Chargmaster is a great tool. I have one....for pre trickle charges and plinking ammo. You can cuss me and shame me but I am picky and have been learning methods for 30 years. This is where I am now. After time you learn that everything is not an insult or words for a fight. It is just opinion. And I have one.

Long range accuracy is long range accuracy. Period. It takes the same discipline to make a heart shot at 800 as it does to hit the x ring at the same distance. The "You're a straw man" argument does not work.

I think they are a little bigger than what you describe.
At least for Fclass. I know nothing of benchrest because it does not apply to real world shooting.

Maybe you are illiterate and didn't understand what I typed.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A CHARGEMASTER. I WENT WITH THE A&D 120 AUTOTHROW FOR THE SPEED.

Illiterate? Maybe you didn't say anything is wrong with the ChargeMaster but a few here seem to want to call me a liar because I can craft ammo with my Neanderthal equipment that shoots as tight as 1/3 MOA. All I did was relate to a YouTube video comparing 5 different powder dispensers and how accurate they throw there charges. The ChargeMaster was more accurate than I believed it to be, within .020 of the 120i and the Prometheus seems to be a monumental waste of money. I really don't care what you Load with or why and certainly won't infer that you are prevaricating if you tell me how Accurate your loads are. As far as literacy goes, let's have a Spelling Bee. I'm better at them than I am at shooting. I need only one piece of equipment for that contest and it scored a 163

I just watched another YouTube video of an F-Class World Record Holder (maybe former now) that loads his ammo on... wait for it... a ChargeMaster 1500 a Rockchucker Press with Redding Dies. ES- 5 FPS. SD- 2 FPS.

those are large targets..not used in BENCHREST.
YOUR LIMITED KNOWLEDGE STRANGELY DOES NOT AFFECT THE REST OF THE WORLD
mil targets are 1 noa x and 2 moa 10 ring.
as a rule too large and no use,
but we do use their 1000 yd target at 2000 yards.( not benchrest)
a mil target x ring has aprox SEVEN times the area of a benchrest x ring.

keep tap dancing

you need to take a chill pill.
1/3 moa AT SHORT DISTANCE IS no big deal. this is a LONG RANGE FORUM. that is the part you are missing.
500 yards is NOT long range.
accuracy of my loads, like all things are relative. in long range shooting it is how you do against others on the same day in the same conditions.
to do good you need a good shooter, a good rifle, and good ammo. ammo is only part of the overall picture.
i am a 600 yard national champion. built the rifle, loaded the ammo and shot the gun. all three worked together over 2 days against some of the best in the nation. tied a national record for 3 targets, set high score at 1000 2 days latter. (2015).
( since you asked tho, my 300 win mag shoots .31/.32 ....at 200 yards, that is about 1/6 moa. HALF of your number)

it is ok for you to be happy with what you do, but to brag about 1/3 moa at short range on a long range forum is just pure hot air.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially old dudes. In my experience they are usually less full of ******** than younger people...guessing at least one of the folks involved in the demeaning finger pointing is probably a self entitled millennial by the way he interacts around here. If not then yall older generation let one slide by without enough blanket parties.
DryHeat...theres a handy little button "IGNORE" click on his name and hit ignore then his BS doesnt show on your screen anymore. That's what I have done....but then it gets confusing cuz I'm not sure what the arguments are all about then I scroll down and see theres ignored content and figure it out. Sometime I have to unblock it to see what all the fuss is about, but it goes right back when you navigate away from the page.

Man I envy your love for your chargemaster! However, there is a reason some scales cost more than others. I have both A&D fx120i and chargemaster. Until u use them side by side u see how much play u have with chargemaster. everyone has a different idealism or accuracy I just know for me personally I could never get to within a kernal of powder with the chargemaster! To each their own I guess, as long as it works for u.
