Need help W/starting load data for 6.5 SAUM-156 Bergers and H1000 please

Hello Fellow LRH members,

I just picked up my 6.5 SAUM/GAP 4S rifle and need help with a starting load:

My Components are : ADG brass, GM215M, or GM210M, or CCI BR2, 156 Bergers, and H1000. I also have Retumbo, N568, and N570. But thinking H1000 is my best choice.

Thank you very much!

PH
You might look up what the 6.5 PRC is doing and kinda adjust from there. They seem pretty close, just my 0.2 I've never used either. Good luck, Cheers.

I've worked up H1000 and 156 Berger's from 58 grains to 62 grains. 60.5 grains was the max safe pressure in my rifle with Norma brass. I'd try a pressure work up with a slower powder to see if you get better results. H1000 put up better numbers with the 140s.

In a short action with 156 bergers, Retumbo did really well in a friend's 6.5 saum. 3100 fps was shooting really well. I think he had a 26" barrel. Been a couple of years and a dozen builds ago. The rest I don't remember.
