Are you referring to the Bear Hunter or Savage as a whole?
Did you watch the video on the link I provided? If not, I highly recommend it.

I haven't had any problems with the actions - the triggers suck and you will eventually want to replace them. How are the actions on the Remingtons? I've heard they can be a little sloppy, requiring a number of aftermarket parts?
Check out the t/c venture in 7mm mag. They are great rifles. Had one in 300 win mag and it shot around half moa with 180gr accutips at 100yards
For your parameters most any of the manufacturers are going to fit your needs. So it really depends on how much you think you'll really end up shooting it. Will you need to rebarrel it during your ownership. If so how easy will it be to rebarrel it? What will the cost be? How refined do you want the action to be for 700-800 bucks? And what bolt action rifles do you currently own?Hello all,
I'm in the market for a new hunting rifle, chambered in 7mm rem mag. I hunt black bear, deer and elk and I would like accuracy capabilities on game out to 500-600 yards and steel out to around 1,000. I plan to use handloads as well.
I had my eyes on the Bergara B14 Hunter, but just recently heard some less than satisfactory things about them and I am now directing my eyes elsewhere. For my budget, I'd like to stay under $700, but if it's really worth it I can move up to $800.
Please let me know your recommendations.
Much appreciated!
Savage in general, but I really like the Long Range and Predator models.
Great. I looked at the long range model and like it. Where do you all recommend buying from online? The Cabela's section is lacking.
