I do have to give credit to Yankee Custom Gun Works in Harvey IA. Randy has taken good care of me. Mods feel free to delete and publicly punish me if not allowed.

Decided against the blue tooth scope rings in the above post. And topped her off with a set of double strap weaver rings until my new scope and rings come in. The Yankey custom gun works break definitely tamed the beast. Almost no felt recoil but the bark assures you something violent just happened with that short barrel.

EarlJr, good looking stock and pistol. Hope you enjoy that rig. One of my stocks I got from Ernie is almost like yours only different colors. My hunting partner says it looks like old Gas Station tile in the bathroom.
My next build will be a 308 in the XP. I picked up a great shooter in 7BR but already had one in that round. I got the XP just for a new build.

Fellas or ladies I need some help/ideas here. Finally got life to slow down enough to get on a range and in not having any luck. Bore sighted to get close then sat down at 50 yards and couldn't get on target. Bring it in to 25 make my adjustments and I'm able to get 4 in a dime take it back out to 50 and it looks like a shotgun pattern. I thought possibly I gutted the Simmons scope and picked up a Vortex rewind and repeat. Ok possibly to heavy of a projectile for the 1:12 twist drop from 168 to 150s and again rinse and repeat. Could it be the loads are to hot for the 12.5" barrel? Factory Norma because it was the only way I could find good brass to load develop with.

Check actions screws, scope base and rings, and make sure they are all tightened properly.
What 168 grain bullet?
You will follow regular rifle load data.
Scope may have went down.
Is the scope touching the scope base?

Those were the first things I checked. And all was good. Just got a bore scope down it and I'm not pleased.
