"My" never leave the local gun store empty-handed rule ...

I've been kinda busy lately. I [picked up 1# h50bmg in Rodgers (left a couple for someone else), found 210M primers (that one hurt at $96 with tax), and picked up some Bianchi leather for my 686 for a song... The leather was stiff as a board; I'll have to treat the heck outta it before I carry the "smith with it.
You all ought to reread the first few pages of the thread... Some of what we are paying now is absurd compared to a year and a half ago...

Left empty handed, I felt fine that day

I've been abstaining from primer buying lately. I'm not paying 100 a brick for them unless I absolutely have to... I bought 1 brick this year and will not buy another. I'll burn existing supply first.
It's fire season. Don't burn anything. I can drive over and dispose of those for you. LOL

you aren't 14 and kinda goofy looking are you?
my kid is the only reason I had to buy primers this year. He developed an affinity for my 7-08 pistol and has run a few hundred rounds through it over the summer...
I got below a brick on 210's and found a brick to replace at 90 + tax... they really need to give you some ky at the checkout with those prices.

Felt should add been to three different LGS in NW Indiana between them at least 1x a week for the last 4-5 months.
EVERY time left with at least 1-3lbs of powder and 100 bullets. Only two calibers of brass I need haven't seen in stock OTC only from internet vendors. Only primers I have seen to date have been 209's. I had employees at two of the three LGS (Cabela's and BP) tell me they get a primer shipment at least 2x a month, but between employees buying and employees giving family/friends advanced notice of primer shipments I have not lucked out to find any primers left save the ONLY ones I'll never run out of in this life time 209's.
My traditional ML friends tell me musket caps have been for a VARY long time have been extremely difficult to come by as well.
Can not believe primers went from $150/5k to over $500 with S&HM fees.

Didn't walk out with ammo/components today, but I did walk out of my LGS with a new "plinker." Threw this one together for the wife to have some fun with me (I hope) on paper and steel. So, it's a Savage MK II BTVS .22 LR with a Tasco World Class 6-18x50 and a Caldwell bipod. We shall see….🤷‍♂️

After testing 5 different kinds of ammo in the wife's Savage MK II BTVS it told us that it liked SK Standard 'Plus' ammo the best. So, I walked out of the LGS today with it's preferred diet and another magazine for it. 👍

Haha. I have such a hard time going to any store that sells reloading or shooting stuff and leaving without something. I'm like a kid in a candy store 😂
Or like a lost dog in a meat house. Don't know what piece to grab first. I always look for items on sale. If I use them I will generally purchase some. Otherwise I just look. Most of the time they don't have what I am looking for anyway. I have to go to the net to find the items I am looking for.
