My mountian goat gun

I hunted Himalayan Tahr and Chamois in the southern mountains of New Zealand a few years back. I took a Winchester pre 64 Model 70 featherweight 270 Win. It weighted in at 7lbs 11oz including scope. My guide advised against a bipod. Shots were not extremely long 200 yards and 300 yards.

Magnum,
Wait, you mean there were "sheep rifles" before 1964? Nothing new under the sun, as the saying goes.
Congrats on that Kiwi hunt. It's on my bucket list.
