What’s left of heart/lungs of an Upstate NY whitetail buck w/123 Absolute Hammer from 20” barreled 6.5 PRC at 60 yards. MV 3110 FPS, so impact velocity wasn’t a whole lot less. DRT, with hide on exit side showing 3 distinct holes.

I shot a 330 pounds pig at 24 yards. The 6.5 130 grain Shock Hammer started at 3,190 feet per second. It entered just to the left of the left shoulder and exited 30" later in front of the back right leg. Three of the petals exited around the shank making a group of exit wounds about 4" across.

My 15 yr old son took a doe near 200 yd on a deer drive Saturday with the 6.5 Sherman Max. pushing 123 AH's at MV 3,495. The deer spun to take off just as he shot and he ended up taking it through the rear ham. The exit was just in front of the front leg. Good penetration and massive impact results. Fast take-down on that one for sure. Impact velocity close to 3,000 fps.

Can't remember impact velocity at 180 yes, but 80 grain HH started @ 3625 went through buck. Chest entry, exit under tail. Had one at 15 yards. Took three wobbly steps.

I've been running the 181 hammer in my win mag and I've taken elk 123 yards, 4 sika, lots of pigs. One monster at 538 yards. And shot it on steel out to 1308. 1300 is about all I would trust it but at 1k and in it's plenty stable.

What velocity with your WM? I got it to 2990 FPS in mine with H1000. Have to single feed because it is too long, so use the 152 and it is happy.

181s in my RUM with N570 have been crazy fast, but haven't finalized anything with them yet.

My buddy took a black bear sow with a 131gr Hammer Hunter at about 170yds and the results were impressive. Exit hole was approximately 1.5-2" with a MV around 2600fps from his 260 Rem.

375 RBH (338 Norma mag necked up and improved) 270 grain SH@ 3000 fps. Moose

338 RBH (338 NM improved) 260 grain HH @ 3042 fps. Elk and Deer

270 WSM 117HH @ 3610 fps. Elk and Deer

I'd go fast on the twist if I were you. It never hurts!!!
