Which do you prefer and why? MRAD or MOA? I am looking at buying a new scope for my taticle 300 wm. All opinions are welcome. Thanks

Ernie,
Could you please explain to me so that I can understand that moa is a finer adjustment. I was under the impression that mrad was finer. moa gets .25 at 100 and mrad get .10 at 100 is that right?
Darrin
One m.o.a. at 100 yards = 1.047 and change inches.
One MIL at 100 yards = .10 yard or 3.6 inches.

Yes. At any distance.1 mil at 500yds that would be 3.5 moa
@ 100 yards this is why a minute of angle scope has a finer adjustment being .25" at 100 yrds
No. Life will be much easier if the reticle matches the knobs. If you feel you need the finer .25 MOA adjustments, getting a scope with an MOA reticle will make you much happier. Conversely, if you want a mil reticle, it makes no sense to get MOA knobs. Of course there are some scopes with .05 Mil knobs out there which are finer than .25 MOA (Leupold, some Zeiss). I have little interest in such fine adjustments (much like 1/8 MOA) but if you really want them you can find them.I got it. Thanks, so I guess best of both worlds a mildot reticle with Moa adjustments.
