Most Efficient 7mm Cartridge for 195 EOL Elite Hunter???

Im considering adding it to the 300 PRC S.I.
If there is enough interest. I've had a couple people ask for one. S.I. on the right View attachment 117044
Is that a "Sherman Improved" in 7mm? How did you come acrossed the brass? That is jumping on it! First thing I thought of was "...when are these guys going to make a 7" and I knew it would be amongst the great smiths on this site. Got to love it.

The pic is a 300 Sherman Improved but the 7 would be the same just necked down. I'll have my rifle ready and back shooting next week to see how it shoots the PRC round while fire forming and hopefully get some load data before the shot show .Ya, i'm cramming!!

I personally think the 7 would be more popular. It is a great balance between the 6.5s and the 30s.
Yes, there is a gap that needs to be filled in the PRC design, and begging for some design testing. I know Hornady has to be doing it. I was looking at the 7 practical, but it has that belt still. I dont have a problem with my 7 RM and a belt but it just isn't necessary anymore. I did a lot of critical measurements on my 7RM brass and fought it to get the brass to fireform and seal at the neck 100% on 40 rounds/ multiple reloads. Finally, annealing often fixed the variation. Rather have headspace on the shoulder right out of the gate at first firing then just neck size away....hoping PRC really has success.

Good luck! You are busy. Please keep us posted on both 30PRCSI and a 7mmPRC SI. Cannot wait. Best of luck!

The 28 nosler is probably a great choice for the 195 EOL, but I've never been one for following the crowd. I can't seem to get behind any of the nosler cartridges, or the creedmores. Lol.
Exactly lol same will be the case with the PRC so now I don't want one of those either. I better get one before they're as popular as the creedmoor stuff
