Factory ammo is shiny and free of any oily residue yet every step in the process is done via automatic machines. I can only surmise that the ammo manufacturers tumble loaded ammo for a bit once it's loaded.

I’ve always used this……whatever it is. Don’t even know where it came from, but it works pretty good. IIRC, I stole it from my wife’s tool bag.

Dental pick. I use these at work on valve bodies and electrical connectors, at home on the reloading bench and for gun cleaning.

It's probably broken. They break easy, but are still useful. When I break a 90 degree pick, it gets ground to a point and it a straight pick. I bought a gross of those things many years back. I need to buy more soon.
