I called the rig LRH Special for thus reasons - all parts sourced on this great site, almost all actually.

Action - Kelbly Atlas Lite
Stock - McMillan
Barrel - Rock Creek 8.7, finished at 26
Trigger - TT
Bottom metal - Remington BDL
Brake - SRS 5 Port Ti Pro ST 5/8X24
Scope - SWFA 20X
Scope mount - Sphur

Sourced elsewhere:
Kelbly Atlas LA pic rail

Those of you who sold me these parts you should recognize them.

Reamer is a JGS optimized for 175 EH with my own twist. I never liked the 45 degree wall after the neck area going into the freebore. My twist, I cut down the angle to 25. The 223 long range reamerI came up with in 2018 the angle is 10 degrees. Dave Manson came up with his 223 reamer in 2020, he calls T15. Guess what his angle is. He teferred to his 308 reamer, T30. Guess what angle is.

My buddy using my N10, Nez 10 says looking into the chamber, the N10 looks like a cone, instead of a wall.

Last Saturday after finishing a 16 inch carbine with pinned welded 4 inch flash hider, I got bored, so I decided to spin up the 7RM. Finished it the same day. The bolt gun barrel is kids' play in comparison to the 223 M1 barrel from a blank I recently finished. Bolt gun barrels are much easier even compared to 14 barrel from a blank. I was doing my 14 barrel whenever I took a break from that pinned 16 inch carbine.

I intend to use the 175 EH, but may develop loads with monos. I may just amuse BB, and run the 120 HH at warp speed. I still have an unopened box of the 120s. I may tap on the 140 AH that I bought from a member here a couple of years ago.

@nralifer could you switch the 6.5 samples you were to send to 7mm? Thanks. I'll see how they shoot at 1K against the 175 EH. Another club I am a member of, 2 hours from the hut, runs to 1 mile, but have just limited my range to the 1K plates.

Another buddy, Mark Pharr, https://www.tumbleweedsrifles.com/, will bed the action. I hate furniture work, I would rather someone who does it for living than do it myself.

Nice build Nez!!! I'm piecing together my Remarms 700 7mm RM so I'd be interested to see your down range dope on your loads. My rail should be here on Monday so I'll start working up a 180 ELDM load using IMR 4350 just to break in the barrel. Since I won't be able to take my rifle out to blm lands until Jan or Feb I'll be limited to my shooting range of 800 yards to 1230 yards. I can't wait to see you up and running with your rifle and load development!

@bamban excellent choice of components; the 175 EH would make a bad arse pill, esp. at LRH. Good luck and happy safe hunting.

Thanks, bro.

I have another 7RM, factory 700 that could not outrun the 280A1 in velocity. Precision wise, they are the equal. 280A1 launches the 175 EH at mid 2900 with no pressure, the 700 pressure ceiling is lower. It could just be a slow barrel. Hope this Rock Creek would run 3K.

I am looking forward on this build. The plan is to do ladder work at 500 yards, the other club I am a member of has a covered firing point at 500, and Shotmarker.

That sounds awesome! I'm all jelly lol. I'm in the poors section so I'll be loading up, test @ 100 yards for group and pressure, and let'em rip out to distance.

The main club I mostly do my shooting, Austin Rifle Club, goes to 200, but it is convenient, as the stat house with AC is right behind the high end of the 200 yard line. Load and shoot. I normally fireform here, and do the initial ladder. The 500 yard range at Temple Gub Club, an hour away from the hut, is where I do the final verification of the ladder work. I repeat the ladder there to see if I come up with the same results.
