77gr Sierra TMK, I believe over 23.7gr of 8208Would be nice to know the particulars on that load!
I shot a 22/250 for a while on deer with 60g partitions in a 12 twist. Meat damage was on par with a 30/06 with 150g Hornadys.

DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ 176 PAGES? HERE'S THE CHEAT SHEET. “Bullets matter more than headstamps.” “Spent primers offer the supreme tutorial”. I’ve read it here and elsewhere online. It got my attention. I started digging and asking questions and listened. The 77gr TMK delivered by a .223...rokslide.com
Read it all. Have an open mind.
I used my .223 to kill a Mulie buck this year. One shot, DRT, 475 yards. 75 gr ELDM.

From my experience, mule deer can probably be killed with a rubber band and a paper clip. But not at 475, nice!
Thanks for saving me the time typing all of that out!Too bad you can't do AR-15 actually. (Canada) Light, adjustable to fit, and come on--> anything from .223 to frickin' 50 Beowulf just by changing uppers!!
I used to hate them, but learned to love 'em. Very cool guns, as it turns out...
With an AR, if ranges were short to moderate, I would say 350 Legend possibly. But again, in a conventional rifle, I've got to say 30.06 loaded down. I still think it's the most versatile caliber ever.
