I ended up having to work up a new load due to changing brass.
My old load as 63.7 gr of RL26 in PPU brass shooting 180 ELD M. Brass started to show case head separation. It also had a terrible capacity. It produced 2890ish FPS.
Went to Win brass. Final load was 68.5 of RL26 at 3015 with a SD of 3.3 and ES of 7. I pushed it to 70gr with no pressure signs but SD was in the teens. Tried retumbo again, but terrible SD and ES with same speeds. RL26 seems to be the ticket in this rifle.
Holy crap! What might something like that cost?No adaptor, this camera has 83x optical zoom
Before you give up, try a slower powder... IMR 7977 or Hodgdon H1000 should work nicely.I am going to have to give up on this 195 out of the 7 mag. The high pressures are giving me some inconsistency that I don't like. I went out to reconfirm my zero and had some pressure signs and a couple flyers. A lot of work down the tubes. I will switch to the 180 vld.

You need to try a new powder.
RL26, RL33, N570, H1000, 7828 are all good choices.
I think the 7 Rem Mag is trying to do too much with the 195, alright one more powder. Then I am saving the rest of my barrel for a bullet more optimal for the caliber. H1000 it will be
The 7 rem mag is plenty capable of pushing the 195 to 2950-3000 out of a 28" barrel. For that to happen you need a really slow burning powder and a 1:8 twist barrel. I have never had any luck with retumbo and low SD/ES. Plenty of speed just no consistency.
Send me the rest of the 195s when you done.
[/QUOTE]What was the speed with 7828?
Also I think you are playing with fire. Be safe. I'm pushing the 195s with 78.4 grains of Retumbo in a 28 Nosler around 3012 FPS. You are asking a lot from the 7mm. I would ask someone with quickload to run numbers, but you might be over pressure.

Back at it with the 195 and the 7 Mag. I noticed that only after a few firings this Winchester brass is getting lose primer pockets.
I gave another powder a try with 5 rounds.
IMR 7828SSC showing some great promise.
Here is a .462 5 shot with 7828 SSC first time down the tube.
