Lightweight long-range rifle weights?

Didn't really set out for this to be a 1200 yard hunting rig. Just something lighter to carry for a long walk when shots farther than 600-700 yards are not anticipated.

Awesome build, i have a build that is very close to that but shorter.

Stainless Savage LWH Action
18" Carbon 6 Barrel in 6.5CM
Spectre Alluminium Brake (going to remove for hunting but its lighter than the thread cover lol)
Titanium Bolt hand/carbon fiber knob
Talley Lightweight rings
Leupold 4-14x50 VX3I 30MM Tube Side Focus
Factory Tupperware :/

Comes in at 7.2LBS scoped
I would love to see pictures

I hardly ever shoot off hand and it's barrel is a little long for stalk hunting but it should handle fairly quick and it's balanced how I like a rifle to be for shooting off hand.

Nice looking Savage! I guess lightweight is a relative term to each, but my Sav12FV 25 Creedmoor, bull barrel 26" , MDT Oryx chassis, 34mm optic is still "light" to me @14lbs. I pack transport.

Lone peak razor TI

Hells canyon 24 in w/a little bastard break
Timmney flat shoe trigger
6.5 creed
6.9lbs

I have always hunted with a 10 lb - 12 lb rifle and have carried them with me up all kind of elevations.

Finally decided to build something a little lighter and ended up with this 28 Nosler that comes in at 8 lb 4 oz. fully scoped and ready to go. It feels great and I can think of several hunts where I would have appreciated a little less weight. Feeling like I have tons of distance capability here and, compared to what I typically carry, it feels super lightweight.

Proof C.F. 26" barrel
Lone Peak Ti Action
McMillan Game Hunter w/ Edge Tech (KUIU Camo)
Vortex Mini Bubble
March 3-24X52 Optic
