Lets see your berger kills!

Who's going to be the first to update this for the 2013 season? I have been finding some of the powders I needed to get started loading so I hope to use some Berger's this year.

Jay

August 22nd 2013. Antelope, Nevada, 6.5x284, 140 VLD, 446 yards.

Here I a coyote I got with my AR last summer at 85 yards with the 52 grain berger. Bullet entered just behind the shoulder and exited the rear hip. The rear leg was held on by fur only.

Here is a coues buck I killed in 2010 at 662 yards with my 250-3000 and 115 berger. I can't seem to find my field photos of this hunt.

And here is a javelina I killed quite a few years back with my 270 and 130 berger at 75 yards. Bullet entered just behind its shoulder literally picked it up and threw it a few feet away. The insides were the consistency of a milk shake and would literally pore out of every orifice. It was disgusting and awesome all at once.

All shot with 50gr berger target bullets from a 22-250.

These first two were 460 and 480 yards, my first ever double!!

This was my first 500 yard coyote, and yes, she was on top of the bale when I shot her.

This one was only a 180 yard shot.

2012 alberta whitetail. Fell through the frozen muskeg to my waist and scared the bigger one away. Then this one stepped out at 25 yards to see what was going on. Wrong choice! Shot with 7rm 168 vld at 3025 mv.

Darn nice buck! Lots of character. Looks like you did some bone crushing there. So what do you think the total penetration was 16" ?

Congrats on a great deer. And way to put the sneak on him.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff, looks like my turn to keep the taxidermist in business this year. Bullet did a great job of breaking the shoulder blade, destroying the internals and coming to rest on the outside of the far shoulder(no bone on off side) the real nice thing was there was almost zero blood shot! All the meat was edible. Penetration was probably about 16 inches, he was a very fat buck with 1/2 inch of fat over his frontal area and over an inch on the hind quarters. Now if I can just do this well with my late season limited quota elk tag. I have to wait until Nov 1st though.

Wow! I think I'm envious! You guys have a great bunch of animals posted. All I have is this measly whistle pig, taken at 1402 yards with a .284 180 gr HVLD. He was one of 4 taken at over 1300 yards in August and early September.
I hope to bust a cow later this fall with a 140 HVLD from my .270 WSM.
