Lets see your berger kills!

LOL got it!! I guess I was a little slow on your drift. Glad to see they work for many hunters here too. We use them on nice sized bulls every year. Haven't tracked one yet.

Thanks for the explanation.

Jeff

It's ok Broz, we forgive you!!! :D :)

This was 2010 bull at 690 yards, with a 168vld out of a 7mm. Chrono's about 2750fps. It broke the first shoulder, and then I found a 61 grain chunk of bullet against the opposite shoulder.

wow bingreen, Im suprised at the success of the 22-250. They're not legal for big game up here, I always thought the bullets would just bounce off! (Broz Im joking, just to clarify).

Kinda neat to see fragmenting bullets work on big game out of small calibers. I was thinking about using my .243 with 95's this year for some whitetale, but thought that It wouldnt be a good idea with the bergers... looks like I was wrong.

Angus, the 60gr Berger is starting out at 3500fps and we have only had a couple not exit but the vitals were just mush. The one doe was at 506 yards and it exited with about a 2 in hole nothing but lungs but it smoked her. My buddies killed a bunch of whitetail with it also, works awesome!!
Another friend shoots a 243 and the 105's, he's piled up deer like crazy and never had one not exit, he's killed one bull at 100 yards, blew through one shoulder and destroyed the spine and ended up under the of side, the other bull was 500 ish and took two to the chest and end of story.

A few more.

Broz,

You official dominate this thread! You have an awesome array of animals, taken with very nice equipment!

Thank you C.O. Shooter, I feel I have tested the Bergers pretty darn well on many types of game and many distances from close to far. I can honestly say I have never tracked an animal I shot with a Berger. I can not say that about all bullets. But the odds are I will have something go wrong sooner or later, that will happen with any bullet if you use it enough. It just has not happened with the Bergers for me. I have a feeling that when and if it does it will be more shooter error and shot placement than bullet performance. As this is usually the case, whether it is admitted or not.

Jeff

In finance, 378 to 387 is *just* a simple transposition error - not a big deal. However, in ALL things related to salary and just how long that shot *really* was, transposition is not simple at all!!!

Broz, you nailed it on the head - no one wants to accept culpability for errors they are party to except those very few who are inclined toward integrity (and accept their human capacity for error).
