Least favorite hunting cartridge to handload for?

Personally I hate reloading for the 7MM R/M. sorry, my popcorn ran out and I saw this thread. When I am reloading the 7MM R/M it means I am reloading for friends and family that I am going to back up this hunting season. this means I have to remember who's rifle, where they are hunting, what distances they might be hunting and load custom ammo for each of the 8 rifles/people that I load for. its a royal pain in my butt.

Personally anything that comes in a straight walled case.

If you hate straight walled cases.. try reloading for an 1892 Win in 44-40. the cases nearly never come out without weird dips and folds in them. it's a horrible case to resize.

What's you least favorite hunting rifle cartridge to handload for among rifles owned and why?

I have a light weight AR-10 in 6.5CM I built for a mountain lion hunt in South Dakota and I can not find a load that thing likes...I truly hate loading for it at this point.

My 22 K-Hornet is kind of a pain too just because everything is small, plus I use spitzer style bullets and the flat bottom inevitably crushed a case or two, and I have large hands....love that round for coyotes and especially for turkey though.

It used to be my 357 Herrett. In the old days, making the brass was a pain, but then I found a source that was cheaply clearing out a few hundred new formed cases. Happy Day!

What priming tools do you have? I just ordered the Franklin Armory priming tool so I'm hoping it's not that one...got thousands of 223 to load this winter

I use the Lee Hand primer and the Lee Ram Prime. The hand primer works great for both .260 rem and 300wm but is dang near useless with 223.

More powder usually equals more work to get dialed in......
The 338 Edge has been the latest....the load it prefers opens primer pockets. Sure there is better bras but have yet to commit to the extra cost.

444 Marlin. It was brutal to shoot so I never really worked up a good load. What I ended up with was accurate enough. Ended up selling it. If I don't have fun shooting it and shooting it well, it can't take up space in the safe.
