Labradar mounting options?

It's surprising that the blast doesn't tip the LR over.

Honestly it's pretty solid when screwed onto the tripod, if you use a good heavy duty one. Depends where you put the legs also, I usually put the back two legs along the front edge of the bench, so a full headwind occasionally tilts the tripod backwards. Maybe the lateral blast pushes directly into a leg of the tripod, so it stays stable in that case. Most tripods have a hook under the stem also, you can clip a biner to it and hang something and that weight really locks it down.

Could someone provide an image of a LabRadar set-up that deals with ported magnum rifles?

That's a 6" set-off with brake well forward. Never had a problem.

A friend cooked his by setting a magnum brake close to his Labradar.

Interesting. Looks nice

Pretty easy to mount it to just about anything you want with a arca-swiss plate. Any tripod with a ball head works for field shooting. Unit also works with the ball head at 90 degrees, so the unit is sideways.

Off a bench I shoot with it placed back nearly at the action, no issues with running a brake or triggering the unit.

This does not solve the OP problem, but for you DYI people, THIS is my solution. Will not move. Cost a few bucks for the weight, some epoxy, a bolt, and a spare tripod swivel neck from my Leopold spotting scope.

I've been using all sorts of different mounts: the original orange plate, RRS 33 tripod, etc. I recently bought this cheapie and it works surprisingly well.

I took a solid 12 inch x 1/4 inch aluminum plate and milled a recess in center and put some rubber feet on bottom. This cost me 15.00 total. Of course the tripod head was from Amazon for 10.00.

I had problems using a tripod as I shoot off bags and the labradar was too high. My solution was to take a 1/4" aluminum plate the same dimensions as the lab radar, and put a countersunk hole dead center and mount the labradar with a 1/4-20 flathead screw from the bottom. Bingo, perfect height and no more problems.
I also repurposed an old pelican case and everything fits perfectly in the pluck foam
Oh, I also covered the bottom of the plate with stick on stair tread so it doesnt move on the bench.

The LaRadar works fine when above your muzzle also. I have mine mounted with a pipe clamp 12 inches over the shooting surface for use with the bench rest tables at the club. When shooting from the ground I shoot it under (through) my tripod, no chance for the lateral blast to bother the radar when it is above your muzzle. Mine usually picks up someone as much as 4 feet to the side shooting from the ground with this set up.
