Kyle’s Trophy Buck

Fences to me don't mean that much, I would probably only fence the road frontage, and 2500 feet down each side, leaving most unfenced. But I am talking about freedoms overall. They keep getting reduced, and who can fence, and what, would be just another one. If my future neighbors want to fence, not fence, I could not care less.
"Fences TO ME don't mean that much" But there are PLENTY of things your neighbors could do that would mean everything to you. That's my issue. Nobody give two damns about anything unless it effects them directly. What kind of farm are you planning on running with no fences on part of it anyway?

You keep saying "we have a system for that". How many times have you used the system to find satisfaction? It's very easy for people to say "your land your rights" do whatever the hell makes you happy on it. So you buy a farm to hunt on and build your peaceful dream home. I buy the farm next door. I build a motocross track on my land and hold races every weekend. The land you bought now has no deer and very little value, and no peace to build your home on but you are just fine with it right? NO, you and the little lady that are all about private property rights would be scrambling to find a way to SHUT ME DOWN! You know it, she knows it, I know it, and everyone else on here knows it. You can pay your lip service, but when the chips are down, things change.

Then its a tiny farm, the noise of a dirt bike doesn't carry that far.
We have a motocross track at the ranch I live/work at, at my cabin, i don't hear 10 bikes ripping around the track.
The main problem there is easy, its more a little hobby farm, not a real farm.
If you can hear your neighbors, they are too close!

So do "hobby" farms have more or less rights than "real" farms? I'm confused there but something tells me you really nailed it with this argument! Apparently you aren't familiar with hypotheticals either. Why do I keep thinking that I'll someday have an intellectual conversation on the interweb……

Well if you get your land bought, and they fence you in... I'll be very interested to hear about whether you feel the same with first hand experience then, as your imagination has it setup in your mind right now. :)

Everyone that has land, has at least 3 borders, whether natural or man made. Only those that own land outside city limits, actually understand the significance of that. ;)

I want to have it mostly in hay fields, with horse trails throughout it. In the center an indoor riding arena, stables, and a fenced area about 80 acres for the horses I want to breed, board, train.
I already have my eye on a piece of land I like, but not enough for the down payment yet.

Its only 12,800 acres, but that will do.
It backs onto forest, and it is crown land, so nobody can buy it or bud there.
I know the people whol live on each side of it, one is a measly 3200 acres, the other not much bigger at just 5120 acres. If I could buy the piece I want, someday if the pieces on each side come up for sale it would be nice to buy them as well. That would give me over 21,000 acres, so a decent size chunk of land.

Perhaps you'll be at the township after the junkyards have leeched toxins into your water table making it unsafe to drink?

I'm simply adding perspective here, that it is not a bad thing to keep those around you accountable to some form of well meaning standard. Were this not so, "those" types of people would have destroyed everything already.

If you two could stop taking personal attacks at the other for 2 seconds... it would help. Though something tells me that neither care about the other at all at this point.

I'll see myself out from between you guys.

You make a good point. But we have and have had action against stuff like that when it does cause issues. But to say they can't have one I can't get behind. Like I said I don't have to like it but they should have the right to do such things. Then when they leave into the ground it has infringed on others right and they should be held responsible.

It's not I don't see his point as I do I just don't agree. Especially since it started over a simple post of someone enjoying a hunt. Turned into bashing people's choices and what they can and can't do. That's all I was trying to get at.

Again it wasn't meant to be personal we all know we can have different views right?

As you know I'm willing to have my mind changed for sure. In fact you have on several occasions. I learn a lot from others on here that have proved the error of my ways.

That is a piece of land. Hopefully nobody next to you doesn't like horses and says you can have that cause it may smell bad or horses make them uneasy. Lol

Here, a small hobby farm doesn't have many rights, and wouldn't even be allowed to build a motocross track that is open to the public, it would have to be for their own personal use. I live in an area where the population is sparse, farms are huge, and the people pretty much leave each other alone.
My nearest neighbor is about 4.5 kms away in a straight line, further by road. If their house blew up, I would probably find out the next day when someone tells me. The property I live on is about 1/3 fenced around the perimeter, but does have cross fences and internal fences for cattle grazing, and a tiny little 27 acre fenced area for horses and goats.

You work for someone else on their ranch now and plan on buying 13k acres with your wages? Land must be fairly reasonable in Canada! 👍🏽

You are so FOS I can smell your breath from here! You have yet to address the many examples I've given about how someone in your position could be effected by your neighbors but you are open minded to other views and opinions? Nah, you are the type to argue for the sake of an argument even when you aren't familiar wit or understand the subject matter. I'm beginning to think you and the little lady are trolls just looking to rile me up! Hell, she is still talking about dirt bikes as if they are pertinent at this point. 😂🤣

This all come back to your original statement and thinking that just because you don't like high fence you should be able to dictate weather or not someone else near you can? List your examples 1-? I'll go one by one.

Because you also haven't done anything like that.
1 Do you think it would be ok for everyone around you to tell you you could no longer hunt your own land because it may affect them?
That's what this is all about.
Question 2/ Why come on this thread to crap on someone hunt?

Start with those. You can call me names all you want still not offended just still believe you are wrong.

Everyone starts somewhere. Not everyone is can get it from parents.

Before you think this is a dig at you it's not. Just pointing out her current situation means nothing for her future.

😂🤣I worked 7 days a week for almost 20 years to get where I am. Maybe when you are full grown and your balls drop, you can call a spade a spade. Until then you can keep playing the internet hero.
