I thought the title would be "kute" then i realized it was 3 K's -‐oops

So I just picked up a piece of krazy kloth to see how it works to "kleen kases"

It definitely has wax in it that stays on the brass after you wipe them with the cloth

Anybody that uses krazy kloth --- do you wipe the cases off with a microfiber towel after you "kleen the kases with krazy kloth"?

I tried it…I use 0000 steel wool Normally to clean my cases with a power tool and a shell holder in it. I was wanting to use the krazy cloth to avoid having to wipe the brass after cleaning with the steel wool. Turns out, you still have to clean the brass off and the power tool spinning the case will tear a hole in the cloth. I just went back to steel wool.

If by my brass is "super" dirty on the necks and tumbling doesn't get the neck clean I use a product called NeverDull. This stuff works great on any metal surface. I chuck the brass up in my drill press, spin the case and apply the cloth to the brass and then microfiber after while it's still in the chuck. I can only do 1/2 the case at a time though. What is the tool that you are using with the shell holder? If I had something that holds the case by the base I could get the entire case at one time.

Lee case holder for their case length trimmer mandrel

After 54 going on 55 years reloading, I think that perhaps some of you are getting a bit overzealous with case cleaning, especially when it comes to sizing lube left behind. Over the years I have used a large variety of case lubes on bottleneck cases. While wiping off excess lube after resizing is necessary, primarily to make sure that the cases don't pick up dirt and introduce it into your chamber, I have never seen any difference in accuracy between overly cleaned cases (wiped down with acetone in my case) to just doing a wipe down with a soft clean cloth (which can be reused simply by throwing it into the washer and dryer) Yes current cloth is microfiber. Otherwise, have not noticed any improvements in group size by cleaning back to bare metal or just wiping off the cases. One product I have tried, and not used again is the Hornady spray lube. I don't know your success with this stuff, but in my case it did not work as advertised and I found that the cases, especially had a tendency to dent the shoulders. There was also more effort required to cycle the case, which in my mind meant more friction as in not enough lubricity. So...I am open to thoughts on removing lube as well as the aforementioned spray lube.

Been using hornady one shot lube for years it must be applied liberally and allowed to dry and I've never had a problem as far as cleaning cases I rinse them in a bowl of alcohol.

As a FAA Certified A&P Mechanic I am very well versed in dissimilar metal corrosion problems. The use of steel wool on aluminum or brass objects can and does cause corrosion issues. When used on cartridge cases the cases do not last long enough for the corrosion to show up, however if loading then storing the ammo for anything but a short period of time corrosion can become an issue. I might suggest changing over to Brass wool. Available on Amazon at a very reasonable price (yes more than steel wool) but without the chance of inducing corrosion on your cases. Why take the chance?
