I felt the same way when Norma powders became scarce or non-existent. However, I stopped worrying, concentrated on what was readily available, and adjusted accordingly.I worry about the future of Alliant as well, now being under the Kinetic Group brand and owned parentally by Czechoslovak Group.
We'll see how the new owners prioritize things.
The reloader powders have been in short supply when they were making it. Now it's not even available to the public from what I understand unless you happen to find some old stock on the shelves.Something just work and with enough planning shortages will not effect outcomes
That's precisely my point when I started this thread: https://www.longrangehunting.com/th...the-local-gun-store-empty-handed-rule.255740/ five years ago. I have a pretty good inventory of components already, but I wanted to prove what incremental purchases can do. Many people complained about the shortages but did nothing to prepare for them. And now people complain about the high prices. About two years ago, I purchased some powders for $28/lb that now cost nearly $60.
Exactly.... might not be $30 a lb but won't be $100 a lb if you plan aheadThat's precisely my point when I started this thread: https://www.longrangehunting.com/th...the-local-gun-store-empty-handed-rule.255740/ five years ago. Yeah. Luckily there's still plenty of other options out there.I felt the same way when Norma powders became scarce or non-existent. However, I stopped worrying, concentrated on what was readily available, and adjusted accordingly.
