Cool. I'll try
It's been a rough week. But, with many great people on this site helping me out. I see a light at the end of the tunnel. Sho nuff.
I was in DC for work last week and the prices are actually pretty good. I was able to find a couple bottles of Eagle Rare 10 and one bottle of Eagle 17!
Dang, that's proof that internet dating actually does work!!!!Paid $260 for it. I met a gal on Instagram that use to work for Buffalo trace and met up with her in DC. I got the Eagle 17 from her and two bottles of the 10 years at a local shop for $69 each. I also gave her some elk pepperoni I've seen the 17 on shelves for over $1500 a bottle?!?!
That's a great buy at $260! I dropped $390 for my 2022 George T Stagg, but like you say, some places are astronomical at 1500+. I have a honey hole that is a gas station in rural Missouri where I find gems at MSRP constantly, not BTAC level, but allocated nonetheless….I love hunting bourbon in addition to all Gods creatures He put here for us. Had this one last night.Paid $260 for it. I met a gal on Instagram that use to work for Buffalo trace and met up with her in DC. How is that Woodford? I've never had it. I reached back out to her to see about picking up a couple more of the Eagle 17. One of my favorites is Weller 12 but that one is next to impossible to find as well. That's a great buy at $260! A bit disappointing to be honest. Most of the masters collections are great, but a few miss the mark. This one could blend in with the regular old forrester line of products seamlessly and not the ones identified by a year. You win some and you lose some I suppose. I did get a blind pour from the wife, after sensing my dissatisfaction, it was Old Kirk and it was phenomenal! How is that Woodford? I've never had it.
