I'm not sure if any of you were wine connoisseur's. But has anyone tried the prisoner batch of whiskey? I saw it the other day for $529 and I've never tried it but it seemed a little steep for a wine company to have a whiskey out there. Just want to see anybody starts on it to see if they've tried it before I buy it.

I haven't had Prisoner but I have seen Jailor's and Breakout... they are both great... no idea if they are from the same place at all...

Are you talking about the Bardstown collaboration series with The Prisoner wine co? I don't know, wasn't it George Dickel 10 year or MGP bourbon finished in their wine casks? IDK, I have 10 year Dickel and MGP (Belle Meade, OKI, Old Elk and Redemption) none over $100 so I don't know if it would do it for me at $500. I'm not much of a finished bourbon guy though.

@marioq I know nothing about wine....never liked it much. I see the bourbon is $175 MSRP so I guess it is hard to find. I've spent a lot on bourbon and rye, but try not to get caught up in the secondary market crap too much.

If you do try it just let us know if it was money well spent!

Nice nose and soft/fresh approach on the palate - malty and zingy single malt.
