This is getting a little heated about Fauci, but he has been wrong most of his career; he was wrong about HIV/AIDS, never got a vaccine, and had he been in the private sector he would have been fired years ago. That's how we came up with $500 hammers and $600 toilet seats or whatever the ridiculous boondoggles are which surface often. That's how VA administrators kept their jobs while patients were dying on waiting lists. And, I promise you, the doctors do not control access to the clinics; administrators do (or at least did until Trump).
That's where the "good enough for government work" came from. It was the private sector, not the CDC, that developed tests and vaccines (and ventilators and PPE) at warp speed. The CDC was responsible for misusing the PCR test (as even Fauci admitted), and for misclassifying deaths due to covid (which Birx admitted, saying she "didn't believe CDC numbers").
But, rather than saying, what some, including TN Jim are saying, you know we got it wrong, and here's how we're fixing it, they have lost credibility by just changing their message without explanation. That's 1984 stuff. And, also, what leads to conspiracy theories. And I too have no idea who QAnon is, nor do I care.
The sad part of it is, is that because of poor communication and outright exaggeration of PCR numbers, many believe nothing is going on, will not take precautions, and, while healthy themselves, will infect others. Part of it is good old bull-headedness, but the miscommunication and politicization plays a huge role.
So, whose mind has been changed? Longbow out.
