How to get into small game hunting

Find some public land and take a .22 and shoot some tree rats. It's not rocket science. Find some oak, hickory trees.

Hell I wish you lived closer. I have been looking for someone to join me in small game hunting. But I mostly hunt the SW corner of Pa. game lands. Pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, grouse.
I love just being out walking and see what I can find. Been doing here my whole life.
