I was doing searches on shooting. I love to shoot rifles. I have a 300 WSM in the Remington 700 SPS. I have had pretty good luck with it, but I decieded I can do better. I have made a few modifications. I have had problems with scople movement, so I used loctite on the screws to solve that set back. I didn't like the heavy stock trigger. After searching online, I found some information on adjusting the stock trigger. That didn't work as well as I thought, do to all the loctite they used on the screws, I messed up the slots. I did purchase a Timney trigger, and I love it, nice. My handloaded 180 gr. Sierra Gameking load was grouping at about 7/8" at 100 yards. I then I bedded the synthetic stock using some epoxy and this tightened my grouping down to 5/8". I started using Alliant's RL17 powder at 66 grains, their bulletin shows about 3080 fps at muzzle. I don't have a cronograph, that is going to be my next investment. I am not a very big person, 5'5" at 160 lbs, so the recoil takes some getting used to. I advise anyone shooting this caliber to practice, practice, and when all said and done, practice. It is a nice shooter.gun)Oh, I am a pastor and a maintenance worker, quite a combination. God tells me how to fix it.
