Did a Google search for long range hunting rifles and your site came up. Love all the tech articles and coyote hunting tips. Building my first true long range hunting rifle, problem is picking the caliber, sort of stuck on either 300 win mag or the 7mm ultra mag. Thanks for the site

unable to shoot today; 7 inches of rain last 36 hrs. Was trying to "google up" some kind of tactical stock for a sako dlx. actually trying to find some options to mcmillan pricewise.( a-5 .300wmag by the way) so I won't fret so much and can take the gorgeous wood off and wrap it up. learning about stiffness of design and such- some good info(thought provoking)in here.

I found the site from the TV show on Outdoor network
the one sponsered by Gunwerks very interested in the scopes
I am building up a Target/Varmint 5.56 AR with a JP Trigger,
Spikes Lower, Stag LPK, Magpul PRS stock, Houge grip.
It will have a 18-20" barrel either Bull or Fluted 1/8 twist, with a flat top
upper.
I plan on using a Larue SPR mount and good glass.

Long range plans are for a 6.5 Grendel Upper

My home range is PSC in Alvin it only goes out to 300 yrd but is a great place to shoot

Purchased a Weatherby .338-378 Mark V -SS synthetic and a Leupold Mark 4 4.5x14 50mm with the custom BDC Dials and started looking for information on this combo and long range shooting. Found this sight and signed up. gun)
Now I cant wait to get her home and shoot it. Been working remote since I ordered it and had the wife pick it up for me.

I was watching some videos on you tube of shawn and others taking loooong shots!! So i started searching google for long range hunting/shooting here i am wonderful sight loads of info .however i would like to learn who owns it/ started it maybe someone could start a thread on how it was started........

I was watching some videos on YouTube and saw a guy shooting a 30-06 at 400 yards and decided to try it since I never shot over 250 yards before. I hit the milk jug and decided to try even further with my peep sight. When I only could hit the jug again at 500 yards I decided to get some advice.

I joined a firearms and hunting site much like this one. Looking around and not seeing much of longer range shooting, I made a new thread asking about economical extreme range shooting.

Those people were very, um... unenthusiastic with my post, (which I think is the longest thread on that site now,) but one comment stuck out. The comment that outlined this site and how it was entirely possible to build an extreme long range rifle for cheap.

I haven't stopped reading the articles and forum posts since. This site is by far the most informative site on shooting I have ever seen. The people are most knowledgeable and willing to pass that knowledge on without prejudice. Exactly what I was looking for! I love it!
