If I hear anything I will post it here.In response to an email from a friend Hornady has spent a fortune getting the CX line of bullets on the market in many different calibers so I don't expect to see new Interbonds anytime soon,if ever again.
I hear ya. I have two or four boxes that should last me a while. I only found out about the dropped line as I was considering an Interbond in a lighter weight for my 7-08. They shoot as accurately a Nosler Ballistic Tips which was what I used for years in it. I prefer Interbonds to the GMX I have in .30 cal. Tried the Accubond 130s in the .260 and the accuracy was nowhere near where it should have been. Switched that gun out to Sierra Game Kings as the season was opening soon and I shot up three boxes of Accubonds trying to get a load to be accurate. Three or four powders up and down charge scale, bullet seating up and down looking for improvement, changed primers. Gave up and got great accuracy with the SGK on the first day. I had spent all summer searching for the Accubonds load that would shoot in that gun. The gun said no.Dagnabit! The 139gr IB shoots like a laser out of my 280 AI's and now I want to try them in my son's 7mm-08 and they are no more, <bleeeeeeep>! I'll pray they eliminate the ELD-X line and get back to making the Interbond like a responsible company would
Anyone care to part with some 139's??
They've said in their podcast that the CX is taking the place of the Interbond, and they don't expect to bring them back.Let's just hope they can get them started again.
I informed them that they were missing a share of the market that nosler has had but was losing due to lack of supply. We're they told that's not a good decision?
