Help with seating depth

Should I do this before or after an OCW test?

Different opinions there, but I personally do the powder OCW or Ladder or Group tests first with the bullets at about light jam or just barely jumping.

Once I find the optimum charge weight, I go to the middle of that node with the powder charge and then do the seating test. Just me, others may do it differently.

Ended up shooting these groups at 300 with a seating depth of 3.530 over 75.5 grains H1000. I was pretty impressed with how well that seating depth test worked. Though even the worst two group were 2.9" and 2.6" Not bad to me either way but I am super satisfied with the .790 and .917 Thanks again!

Glad it worked out good for ya.

Anything under an inch at 300 yds is excellent out of a hunting rifle.
