I'll ditto the ditto's on Hammer Hunters. They have shot well. I'm an MOA shooter. Not a sub-MOA shooter. The hammers did their part and were much easier to develop a load for than another brand of similar terminal performance design. The realized BC's were lower than I would have liked but they are still now my go-to hunting bullet. The terminal performance in a lead-free bullet is astounding and they've been easy to work with.

I tried doing a ladder test with them.....all I got was a ragged hole for the most part with my Gap-10 even with a 3gr spread

I've had the same results, I just picked the best numbers off of the chrono and loaded them up

No better bullet out there. Been handloading for 35 years and tried all types and brands of bullets. Superb accuracy, easy load development, and reliable and outstanding terminal performance. pics are of typical groups with 124 gr HH in 6.5 CM and 143 gr HH in 28 Nosler

Has anyone loaded the 181HH or the 199HH in the 300 prc? I have a 26" barrel 300prc and curious what kind of velocity it could reach..

Steve got me curious about hyper velocity in his catbird experiments. I've worked up loads for my 7 RUM and 131 gr Hunters. Right around 3700 fps with N570! This thing is a lazer to 300 yds and shoots ragged holes! I'm very happy. Deer eating my cotton are about to get a surprise!.

My 30-06 loves the 166 Hammers moving at 2940

I enjoy using 375, 300 gr shockhammers in front of 74 gr of Reloder 17 in my 375 H&H. These guys fly true and at a mv of 2680 fps are good out to 300 yards (actually farther) which is as far as I like to shoot with this caliber. JM

havent yet but will.. in my 300 rum 26" the 181 will run 3380-3420 fps H1K powder
