I hate to say this, but I haven't bought a new gun for quite some time. My thinking for a few years that now that when I do buy that new gun, I'm going to this local shop that is only 5 miles from my house. The owner is a good friend and is a farmer like me. I order a new 350 Legend from him back in October. It was on backorder until last week. Picked it up this past weekend. I don't care if he has to order my next gun purchase, I will always go back to him.

Also a Sportsman Warehouse moved in about 45 miles from me. Even though its seem like a small store, I am very impressed with them. They usually have the things I want right now. And the prices aren't bad.

A guy I grew up with used to haul triple trailers for FedEx...long hauls northern cal into Eugene or....
FedEx begsn cutting drives and long hauls....subcontracted out a lot of hauls to Mexican company.....so some of the ugly trailers you see on the highway are hauling your prized orders...in dilapidated box trailers.........

Doesn't surprise me one bit 26 Reload. I'm speaking of the difference in Fed-Ex vs. UPS in central KS. Unfortunately many companies subcontract to second rate junk. I will get off of this subject and let people post gun "stuff". Always enjoy reading posts on LRH, very informative.

A major NY hedge fund owner is the guy behind the merger of Cabelas and Bass Pro. He bought a huge amount of stock in Cabelas and pushed for the merger. He made millions, and didn't give in eff about the aftermath. After the merger, he sold all his interests in the company. He is known for buying up other countries debt, then hammering them with relentless lawsuits until he extorts his money out of these countries. He is extremely feared in Washington DC. One of the few that scares all the politicians because he is so brutal and relentless. Lots of scorched earth with this man. I cannot remember his name.

It's strictly about moving towards socialism. That's the agenda nothing else. Major supporters are wealthy and they are the folks pushing for it so hard. The fact of the matter a growing number of people here in the U.S are complacent about their freedom because they've always had it and some will never appreciate it until it's gone. I spoke with a young engineer that grew up in china that I work with now. I talked to him about my faith and beliefs and how our culture is changing. To my surprise he got it & understood. He grew up under so much socialist suppression/aggression that he realized that people here don't know how much freedom that they really have. He had a much better understanding than most of our young people here in the US have of how valuable freedom really is, especially the freedom of your beliefs. Those freedoms are priceless, but we have many politicians trying to offer cheap trinkets in trade for our freedoms. Those politicians are a lot like the fellows who carry pinnochio & and the ignorant boys off to pleasure island. Lots of folks in this country are in the process of getting carried off to pleasure island due to ignorance.

Not just Dicks. I went to local UPS store to return a stock to company. They refused. USPS gladly helped. Are we in Albania?

I too have found UPS to be selective in what they will ship FROM DIFFRRENT TERMINALS. What is restricted locally may freely be shipped from another one - 60 miles away!

I had that happen to me at cabelas in canada. They refused to sell me bullets because i said they didnt need my PAL to purchase them.

They should have a questionaire made up for their hiring process to eliminate these goofs

One time I caught Dicks good! They mismarked Federal 209A primers They put 100 pack prices on 1000 sleeves so I got 900 free primers each time! I bought 10 sleeves!

Scheels moved in about 1/2 mile from Dicks a few years ago. They sell a lot of the same stuff in a bigger store with more selection. And they have a great gun section and a Ferris wheel.
