Gunsmith to install banded front sight

I'm looking for a gunsmith who can properly attach a banded (likely NECG) front sight on a .458 win mag that's had the barrel cut to 20". Close is better but anywhere that does good work. I'm in NE Indiana. I can have the barrel removed and just send it for the sight install with the barrel marked at top dead center.
NEGC make a fisrt class banded front sight. Not sure why your smith won't install, it's really a simple process. There are many gunsmiths that will not do soft or silver solder work these days, which is too bad. It scares a lot of them but it is not hard to do.

Here is a Rigby style rifle I'm building that has a NEGC banded sight, sling swivel and rear sight. All of them require soldering for a proper install.

Taj , it looks absolutely beautiful! It look like a classic big game rifle should look ! Well done ! Lenny
Lenny,

Thanks Pal, apprecuate that. I've almost got the stock finished but still have to checker it. Once that's done, I'm going to rust blue the metal. The gun is in .275 Rigby (7x57 mm) I figured if it was going to look like a Rigby, it might as well be the same caliber.

Better images of the NEGC front and rear sights which do need to be soldered on.

For me that is a Bucket list rifle ! I need to save your contact for a future build in 300 H and H !! I would sell my 300 Weatherby mag to help pay for a rifle like yours !!

Lenny,
Thanks Pal I appreciate that. I've always loved English magazine rifles but they were always out of my budget. When I quit building guns for a living I decided that I should build myself a "Rigby" style rifle with just a taste of my own personal likes.
I'm a big fan of .300 H&H as well and have a really nice pre 64 model 70 in that caliber. it was built in 56 and I elk hunted with it this year. I've often thought of building this rifle into a custom but haven't had the heart to mess up a really nice pre 64.

Taj, I own a German FN in 30 06. With a Heinzholt Scope. Tons of hand engraving on the receiver and floor plate and scope rings . German Claw mounts. Griffin and Howe think they could sell the rifle for about $3000, and I also have a Weatherby Custom Stock, in really excellent wood, with fine checkering. I think I could get about $1000 for it. That would be the seed money for the project!! Please send pictures as your build progresses. The "Rigby " style of stock design with a swept back grip, and low comb , just seem perfect , to me. I love the true classic style.
