Gun Owners: Think Twice Before Posting Pics of Your Firearms

Since your registered legal firearm is already in the every federal and police database and is essentially public information for any cuck that has a lawyer

I'd just like to point out that there is a technical difference between filling out a 4473 and gun registration.

I worked part time at a local gun shop for about 5 years, and heard countless times about "registering my gun", or "transferring registration" etc. A NICS check is NOT gun registration, it is simply a quick check to make sure you are legally allowed you take possession of the firearm.

Now, I'm also NOT saying that the feds don't track this stuff.

Although, I work for the county, running a state program. And two federal agencies are in my building... and I will say it may surprise you how bad record keeping might be! The age of digital information has definitely changed a lot of that, though...

Are the 4473s picked up monthly and entered into a database? I doubt it.

Oh noes.

Google is not the US government. If government wants any information on you or your property, they either already have it or have the wherewithal to get it. Optical character recognition technology has been around for a VERY long time, so has data mining. If you're worried about privacy and are posting things to the internet, you're doing it wrong.

The sky is not falling. The very reason we all have guns is so that the government can't one day decide that we don't get to anymore. They do not have the option to go all widespread confiscation. On that note, I have to say that putting forth notions of some impending totalitarian one-world government infringing on our long held rights is, in my opinion, the interminable yammering of fear mongers. Not news and certainly not helping.
A totalitarian one-world government infringing on our rights may never materialize, but you just hide and watch what the Biden administration has instore for gun owners. I have not heard the interminable yammering of fear mongers on the side of gun ownership. I am a little hard of hearing, however, one need only listen quietly to hear the real threat of gun confiscation on the horizon.

the paperwork is all done on the internet now. all shops by me just use a laptop and hit send no more physical paperwork to pick up. as we all know once on the net it is there forever for whoever wants to retrieve it

The last deal I did at my LGS was the old fashioned way with the yellow form. That was maybe 6 months ago.

this started at the bigger stores here about a year ago. the newest regulations that just came from the BATF is on your ID. if your ID drivers license has a middle initial in your name it must be spelled out on your license not just the initial example mine is W on license now it must read Wayne or your ID is not accepted. you have to change your license or have second from of ID birth certificate. this all started 2 weeks ago.

Not unless things have changed recently. I used to have an FFL/GunShop, and I didn't have to send any of the 4473's in until after the business was closed. I was told by a friendly ATF Agent, that when Sear's stopped selling guns, there were something like 7 tractor trailer loads of 4473's that were sent in, and chances of them being sorted and filed to find anything is quite slim. I imagine that with other dealers closing and some big box stores stopping selling firearms, there are so many FFL's being sent in. I have no idea where they can be stored by ATF, much less sorted through to find any particular record of any particular firearm of any particular gun buyer.
Maybe someone who is actively an FFL holder can shed some light on if any FFL's are sent in on a regular basis.

Awhile back when I got my DL changed to be accepted as a real ID, my middle name is spelled out. Not sure if it was before that or not. Saved my old one, but not inclined to dig it out.
