I think the 4350 powders are just a tad fast for the 160gr bullets. It works really well with 140 and 150gr bullets.I like 66.0grs of Reloader 22 with the 160's and that powder has been my go to for everything from 140-175grs,it just works well in the 7mag.I recently ran a few test loads in my 7mag with Accurate 4350 and Reloader-26.I got great results with both powders, but once again the A-4350 was at max with the 160gr.The Reloader-26 just may be "the powder" for the 7mag.These are the only loads I tested with both powders, but I think the Reloader-26 will get me some really good velocities with the 160gr Accubonds.

I have not opened the Re22 jug in a long time. I want a modern powder than is temp stable and anti Copper fouling, like Re23, IMR4451, and IMR4166.

One of my buddies just bought some 160 Accubonds and is looking for load data for the 7mm REM Mag and either IMR4350 or H4350.

I ran him some numbers in Quickload, but he was interested to see what everyones go to load is ...

How about it?

According to Nosler 63 gr of IMR4350 will move a 150gr spitzer at 3248 FPS.

I know this thread is about a year old since the last response. I'm pulling out a 7 mm rem mag to play with. Been years since I did any work with it. I've been running 284s for several years with great success. Looking into the forums on load data, it seems it's really not any different than my 284s for performance. My 284 LA running 180s is giving me close to 3000 fps. My SA running 162s is getting me the same. Both with RL17 powder and excellent accuracy. Can anyone talk me into putting time into a 7mm mag ??? Its only a 24" barrel and lightweight so carry would be better for a hunting rifle. I'm used to 10-13 lb hunting rifles in slings so weight means nothing to me. Just surprising how close the 284s are to the 7mag

Any of the 4350 powders will work, but it seems like that powder is starting to max out with 160gr bullet weights. With 150gr or less,it's awesome.I think powders around the 4831 and up burn rates are better choices with the 160gr and up.

Here in Alabama my go to load for my 7mm Remington Magnum is a 160gr. Nosler Partitions. 63grs of IMR4350 and CCI Large Magnum primers. From my Weatherby Vanguard S2 w/ 26" pipe 3020FPS and hits like Thores Hammer. Excellent in timber or open fields. Always Sub-MOA normal groups are .750" of a sand bag no lead sled or vises. In 10 years I have never lost a deer hog coyote or bobcat that I hit with it. 412 yards one shot kill on a small buck he ran 18 steps before collapsing. Got to love them Nosler Partitions.

I got to 3,000 fps with RL19 and the 160gr and 162gr bullets, would've been great to use RL26 but its temp sensitive and spikes the pressure up when its hot, and here in Southern AZ its always hot, so that was a no go. Still, at 3,000 fps with the 160's is great for me, don't need more.

Love my 7 RM but it uses alot more powder than my 284s to get the same performance. Sure I know it could do better if I ramped up loads and pressure but they basically are roughly pretty close in performance so why bother. I pull out the 7RM when running the 180-195s. It definitely out performs my 284s with heavies. As stated above, no need when you already have 160 NPs. They seem to get the job done regardless of what I use it for.

I'm currently trying to get a Remington 700 7mm RM to shoot 160 accubonds and just struggling.. been using RL22 and feel like I have tried everything( I know I haven't just feels like it) I will be watching this if it keeps going.

Hello 55stone I have 30-06 that loves them 2/10 of 1000 off the lands. I have a 270 that will not put closer than 3" at 100 yards no matter what I do. My 7mm Magnum will only group 1.75" at 100 yards with them. A very very finicky bullet to say the less. That's why I have steered away from them over the years.
