Maybe slower than H1000 a little? Can't remember

870 is slower than 1000. It's around the 8700 rate. Have a pound of it and likely won't use.

How does the discontinued AA8700 compare to the discontinued Winchester WMR?

I haven't used WMR but AA8700 is very slow. I can use 93+ grains with no pressure signs

On the chart above it shows that WMR is faster than 7828 and h1000.
So I guess it's not going to be good for 160's

Sorry, I wasn't meaning slow speed wise but slow burning I chronographed a three shot group at 3413 fps with 160 partitions. Just on the pressure of being too high.

Back up about a half full grain or one full grain and see if you can find a good load if you are seeing pressure
