GOOD TRIGGER WEIGHT FOR A HUNTING RIFLE?

I use the Lyman digital trigger pull gauge to adjust them all.

I think the only ones not at this weight are my Rem 7400 (not possible) and a couple of my Marlins.

6 to 10oz on all but one of my hunting rifles. Only one has a 1lb 4oz trigger...just because I haven't swapped it out in the last 12 years. To me, a light/crisp trigger is an accurate trigger. And game animals require just as much (if not more) accuracy as a steel plate.

2-3lbs is my preference, any lighter & you start getting into dangerous territory imo.
If you get a set trigger then you get the best of both worlds if you want to shoot off the bench.

2 # for me, hunting can be a high adrenaline game. And oz., with me at least, can't be felt. Hunting for me is very exciting, and 2 pounds for hunting is very lite.

Let me add I'm an ambush type hunter. I ride my rifle on my ATV then sit and wait.
I only load when I get where I'm sitting I don't walk with it loaded.
