Geez I hate these things

I am sorry but that is just so sad! Letting a deer suffer and injure itself further because of a negligent landowner. Hopefully people who read this will learn what not to do. The GW would have made sure that this fool did not "trap" any game animals again.
Everyone has a 1A right to speak their minds.

Don't misunderstand, you and me have differing takes on the situation. So, I'm offering some explanations. I'm not angry.

1) The landowner is not negligent. He is well respected in the community and is very attentive to his properties.
2) The man is a lot of things, a "fool" is not one of them.
3) The property owner did not set the trap. His daughter and her boyfriend set the trap because feral hogs were destroying the hay in the "hay trap".
4) Turning in the landowner and/or his daughter to a GW would not have been conducive to the relationship it's taken me years to develope.
5) He is my neighbor and has done alot of things for me.

If he was engaged in some highly illegal activity, I would simply stop hunting his property.
I'm not a "back biter" or a "snitch".

No but you are not an ethical hunter either for letting a negligent landowner continue with allowing this activity to take place. There is no way for you to recover from this also, I see excuses not reasons for this to happen and will possibly continue to happen--spoke with our game warden in New Mexico about this and he does not agree with your position.

Completely understand your level of not caring for innocent big game animals being maimed and injured as a result of this negligence and it is very sad indeed. In the end right is right and wrong is wrong and you are of the latter in this situation.

For others here this is why landowners such as myself are very, very careful about who we allow to be on our land.
