Gas

No one in the US oil industry. Why would they invest in something that didn't make them money?
They invested hoping to see the completion of the pipeline that would eventually have a payout. Or what's called ROI.
You are making my point no one will invest that didn't make them money. They got the ok to do the pipeline invested in it to have Biden pander to green energy group by shutting it down. So yes people lost money and probably won't invest. Hence why oil exploration and investment into that would go down. Which leads to less oil supply. Instead of begging opec why not drill our own?
Put aside our differences on how we got here. Why can't we drill our own oil? Companies want to do they can keep a higher profit by using oil they pumped instead of bought. They have the whole supply chain at that point. Under trump we produced more than we needed now we don't. Add n top of that the Russian oil loss and both although small parts make up a larger percentage that needs to be filled by countries that not only pollute more but hate our guts.

Highest paid federal employee
Yep but check out the royalties he got for confounding the covid vaccine.
Funny how it was all our money used to fund it while he worked for us. Then he gets to keep profits from something we pay for. Yet we are supposed to respect a man like that. Dude is a *** and has literally failed his way to the top. He was wrong about every single pandemic we faced and yet his biggest fail was covid. Sorry Jim but look that guy up he was a moron before. We had so many other experts telling us how to handle it not to mention Robert malon the guy who invented mnra telling us he was wrong. So many actual doctors in the fields saying he was wrong yet he had to push this covid garbage for his own profit. Yet he still had a job. We need to force these people out of service after a certain age or failure rate. But then we may not have any government employees.

Back to how we are getting ripped off every day by our "GREEN SEWER FRIENDS".

Please provide any evidence whatsoever that anyone other than transCanada invested in the pipeline. Everything I can find says that it was transCanada alone. They received no money from US oil companies,

No one is stopping anyone from drilling. You can't say no one is drilling oil is because Biden is mean and they don't want to and then say they aren't being aloud to drill oil. Its one or the other. Why are we having this conversation? We don't produce more than we need because in 2020 oil tanked and we stopped pumping oil and we have not brought many of those wells back on line and no one is stopping them from bringing them back online. I think that is well established at this point. Also, US oil companies have no desire to pump more oil right now.

Am I missing something here with the whole oil independence thing? If we produce ten times the amount of oil that we need, are we going to be paying less for oil than what it is going for on the world market? Seems like even if we produce all of the worlds oil, if its going for $120 a barrel on the market, thats what we are going to pay. In other oil producing countries, its not that way because the oil companies are state owned but our companies are privately owned and we are a free market country so that does not happen here. We pay the same as everyone else regardless of how much we produce.

I paid $5 per gallon for 85 octane gas yesterday. I know it's higher elsewhere but it hurt to pay that much per gallon.

I sure wish my truck ran on the "cheap" gas! $5 for 85 octane and that's the cheap stuff….maybe JB can go begging for someone to help us, it worked for our starving babies. Thanks Germany!

He just needs to hit the easy button and start up pipelines. Food and energy security is a matter of national security imo. Germany is starting to understand this in regards to Russia.
