Garmin’s first miss!

I just thought of something…
I have a plastic impact protector cover over it (don't remember the name) that may have caused some of the issue with the small bullets.
Again though, It has caught 100% of everything else…and that is A LOT of rounds since I bought it!
So… I'm still very happy with it!

I'll remove the cover when I try it on fast 22's next time.

Mine has missed two shots to date since I've had it. Both .30 cal projectiles. Last outing, I fired ten shots and when I opened the app to review the data, I had two bonus shots. Not sure where they came from.

Funny story. When I first got my Garmin and set it up, I thought it wasn't working. Finally realized it was pointed backwards! I am not normally technologically changed but on that day…. Never missed a shot since up to 4759 fps on my 22-250AI. Haven't used my Magnetospeed since I got it.

My Garmin Pro has been flawless on reading 100% of shots until now!

I guess it's the sleekness of small tipped bullets going fast that creates the anomaly!
I fired some 22 Creedmoor 75 and 80 grain ELD m bullets at 3300 fps and the Garmin picked up one in every four or five rounds fired.

Has anyone else noticed this?
I've had misses once in a while on my 270 WSM running 130's at 3300 fps but not often.

The only time I've had it miss during a normal shoot is with a small bullet going fast…small and fast like a .17 hornet.

The only other misses were shooter induced error. I've moved the unit with muzzle blast…that caused an error. I've shot it on the mount, with a few misses but garmin came out and said it wasn't recoil rated. So that's that.

I've shot it on unstable platforms, where the recoil as moved the structure supporting the gun and the garmin, which has also made a few misses.

But never just regular shooting regular bullets in a usual manner. It's been real fine like.
